Video of the day: The Band & Eric Clapton – Further on up the road

One of JV’s fav music films is… hardly a surprise… “The Last Waltz”.

There are so many good songs from this concert… and Hallgeir will dive into details on an upcoming post, but for now I’ll pick “Further on up the road”.

From Wikipedia:

Farther Up the Road” or “Further on Up the Road” is a blues song first recorded in 1957 by Bobby “Blue” Bland. The song became Bland’s first record chart success and one of his best-known songs. “Farther Up the Road” has been performed and recorded by numerous blues and other artists, including Eric Clapton, who has made it part of his repertoire.

It is a great version, and I love the guitar playing from Robertson & Clapton.. Who is better ?

Who cares… they make a fantastic team here.

Further on up the road someone’s gonna hurt you like you hurt me.
Further on up the road someone’s gonna hurt you like you hurt me.
Further on up the road, baby, just you wait and see.

Let’s roll..
